Why Ciarán?
For a kinder, fairer and more sustainable future.
If elected, I’ll fight for what we need to build a community that works for all,
including:
Affordable homes and rents
Effective public transport & active travel
Expansion of community facilities
Accessible & affordable childcare
Better social care and disability supports that match individual needs
I’m ready to provide a fresh and progressive perspective for a new generation in the Dáil, and advocate for our interests.
My Work
I work as a solicitor specialising in employment law. I spend my free time volunteering in my community:
Through FLAC (Free Legal Advice Centres) I provide advice to many charities and individuals, and provide employment law training for volunteer advisors
I am Chairperson of the Board of Management of Ballyroan BNS and involvement in my secondary school past pupils’ union
I play music (euphonium!) with the Rathfarnham Concert Band and I am currently serving as the Band’s Chairperson
I am active in the South Dublin Cycling Campaign
I’m a founding director of the local charity Calcutta Connect, which supports education in underprivileged communities in India
I also organise the Law Society’s annual “Calcutta Run” for the Simon Community and Hope Foundation, raising €300,000 in 2023 alone.
I want the council to get back to basics and do the simple things right - ensuring safe footpaths, roads, cycle paths, and clean, green communities.
I want to build on my track record of voluntary work by becoming a full-time representative of communities in Templeogue, Rathfarnham and Greenhills. I want to help build a kinder, fairer and more sustainable future for all in our area.
To do this I need your vote so please consider me for your No. 1 on 7th May. Thank you!
About Me …
I’m a councillor on South Dublin County Council, a community
organiser, a labour lawyer by profession, and your candidate for Dublin
South-West in this general election.
I have so much pride in our community here in Dublin South-West.
It’s where I was born, raised, and am now lucky enough to be raising
a family of my own. Yet, the reality is that too many people in our area
are struggling to afford the things they need to survive and thrive.
Basic services – childcare, healthcare, disability supports, housing,
transport – should be available and accessible to all. But year after year, Government has failed to provide sufficient resources on
all these fronts.
Our country is ready for a transformation, and Labour is dedicated
to building better together. We’re committed to the basics of public
policy – getting the simple things right and delivering better results for
workers and families.
